The surroundings
The village and surrounding area of Saint-Saud-Lacoussière is a quiet, but by no means a boring village.
There are no less than three restaurants, and a gregarious bar-tabac-restaurant with a big terrace.
A little supermarket for groceries and a bakery for fresh bread are also around the corner.
You will find a larger supermarket and restaurants in nearby Saint-Pardoux-la-Rivière.
Nontron at 15 km is the shopping centre for the region; it also has a choice of bars and restaurants.

La Chouette is placed in the heart of the National Parc of Périgord Vert.
Besides the rural beautiful landscape of the Périgord the bigger towns of Limoges, Angoulème and Périgueux are less than a hour's drive.
